  "He was Major General, Royal Artillery, and was present in the following actions, viz. Badajoz, Vittoria, St. Sebastian, Pyrenees, Nivelle, Nive, Orthes, Toulouse, for which he received medals. Created Commander of the Bath, 2 Jan. 1814., and Knight Commander 12 Ap., 1815.
