Notes - Emigrated with his parents in 1630; admitted a freeman at Boston 1 Apr 1634, and moved with his parents to Windsor in 1636. He was a farmer and an importer. His apple orchards were among the largest in Connecticut.
Served in the House of Deputies 1655, 1660, and 1661, and in the House of Magistrates from 1662 to his death. Served on the Governor's War Council in 1675 and 1676.
At the time of his death, he had a "servant" named Cyrus valued at 30 pounds. Cyrus was possibly a slave, and if so, would have been the first known of in Connecticut.
