He was brought before the King's Council to answer for his contempt in striking one of the King's ministers at the Parl. held at Berwick in the octave of the Assumption, 22 Aug. 1296. He m. Margaret, 1st da. of Sir Thomas de Clare, Lord of Thormond in Connaught, by Julian, 2nd da. and eventually sole h. of Maurice Fitz Maurice, Lord Justice of Ireland.
