Notes - Arrived in 1632 on the Lyon. First at Cambridge, then Hartford 1636. He was among the "Adventurers Party" of twenty-five men led by John Steele who scouted area that would become Hartford in October 1635, before the Rev. Hooker's party departed Cambridge in May 1636. His name is on the Founders Monument in downtown Hartford. To Hadley in 1659, as a member of the party opposed to the Rev. Samuel Stone. Deputy for Hadley to the Massachusetts general court in 1662, 1663, and 1664. Permanently in Farmington by 1675.
