Notes - James and Joan Warner, with their daughter Joan, immigrated to Maryland in 1650. The were among the first settlers in the South River Hundred.
He is said to have come to Maryland from Virginia, but we don't know that this has been proved.
He married Elizabeth Harris, who may have been the charismatic Quaker proselytizer of that name, a year before his death, but contrary to many genealogies, his first wife Joan was the mother of all his children.
