  Constable of Hereford Castle 1263; Sheriff of Gloucestershire 1263; Sheriff of Worcestershire and Herefordshire; Justiciar of Wales; Justice of the Forest south of Trent 1265-70. Took Simon de Montfort the younger prisoner at the Siege of Nottingham. Taken prisoner at the Battle of Lewes, 14 May 1264. Fought for the king at the Battle of Evesham, 4 Aug 1265.
