    • "Responded to the Lexington Alarm April 19, 1775. He enlisted May 1, 1775, in Capt. Oliver Hanchett's company, 2nd Connecticut Regt. Was at the Battle of Bunker Hill and thereafter in Arnold's Expedition against Quebec, in which his company suffered severely, its officers, Capt. Hanchett and Lt. Savage, being taken prisoners, Lt. Samuel Cooper being killed, while seven of the men were killed, one wounded and twenty-nine made prisoners by the British. Pelatiah King was among the fortunate few who were not injured."
