  • Notes
    • He was a ropemaker.

The marriage of "John Heyton of Shadwell and Alice Gowrde of the same" on "xxij day" of January at St. Dunstan's was first noted as likely to be that of John Eaton — father of Margery Eaton "daughter of John Eaton of Shadwell Roapmaker" who was baptized at St. Dunstan's ten months later — by Hal Bradley and Beth Bauchet, and recorded on Janet and Robert Wolfe's site (citation details below) with credit to them both.

Given the subsequent 24 Jan 1607 St. Dunstan's burial record of "Alice wife of John Eaton of Shadwell Roapmaker", it seems more than likely that this is indeed the marriage record of Margery Eaton's parents.
