  "He reached a high position at Court and this may account for the reference in Shakespeare's King John to a de Burgh as the King's Chamberlain." [A Guide to the Parish Church of Saint Augustine of Canterbury, citation details below.] According to Wikipedia on Walton Hall, West Yorkshire, the Thomas de Burgh who married Sara Neville was "the Steward of the Countess of Brittany, Duchess of Richmond."
