Notes - She may have been a Dunbar. Andrew B. W. MacEwen, the eminent scholar of Scottish royal and peerage genealogy,is quoted in a footnote in The Ancestry of Charles II (citation details below) as believing that she was a daughter of Earl Patrick Dunbar and Agnes Randolph — this is the Earl Patrick Dunbar whose third wife was the famous "Black Agnes."
