• Notes

  He married a Katherine and a Joan; the former may have been a daughter of Thomas, Lord Bray. It's also possible that the daughter of Lord Bray was the Katherine who married his father. A memorial brass in the church at Sawbridgeworth, where he is buried with both of his wived, is inscribed "Hic iscent Galfredus Ioslyne & Katherine, ac Joanna vxor eius, qui obiit ii Januar M cccc lxx."
