Notes - Girdler of London. His brother William Buckfold, also a girdler, died in 1544, leaving “the occupying” of his shop in St. Mary Colechurch to Henry until William’s son Robert came of age. William Buckfold and his successors are presumed to have been undertenants of Stephen Cobbe (d. 1566), citizen and haberdasher, whose daughter married Henry Buckfold’s son Richard.
A Henry Buckfold, presumably this one, was master of the Worshipful Company of Girdlers in 1562.
