In the 1870 census she is in Allegheny, Pennsylvania, still living in her father's household, age given as 32, born in Ohio, occupation "keeping house". In the 1900 census she is "Boggs Mrs. Sarah", age 64, marital status "S" (that "Mrs." notwithstanding), father born in Pennsylvania, mother born in Maryland, relationship to head of household "sister-in-law", living in San Jose Ward 3 with Hannah M. and Hampton H. Jones. In the 1910 census she is still in San Jose Ward 3, but evidently on her own; she is Sally J Boggs, age 74, head of household, marital status S, born in Ohio, father born in Pennsylvania, mother born in Ohio, occupation "dressmaker", working "at home."
