• Notes

  Sister of John Shatswell (Ipswich 1633), Margaret (Shatswell) Curwin, wife of Matthias Curwen (Ipswich 1634), and the magnificently-named Theophilus Shatswell (Ipswich 1639). Widely claimed as a daughter of John Shatswell and Judith Dillingham of Ipswich, Suffolk (or Bitteswell, Leicestershire), but we haven't seen proof of this.
