  Who this John Kent was and how he might fit into the many Kents of early New England is a puzzle that for the moment defeats us. He was certainly not the John Kent born in Newbury in 1645 to Richard Kent and his second wife Emme, as stated in various mind-bendingly confused (and confusing) Wikitree pages. That John Kent married in Newbury, in 1665 or 1666, Sarah Woodman, whereas this John Kent married Hannah Grizzel in 1662 and she lived to 1691.
