  He was not a son of Revolutionary War surgeon's mate Isaac Bronson, various DAR sources notwithstanding; the ten children of that Isaac Bronson and his wife Ann Olcott are well documented. Wikitree places as a son of the Connecticut couple Asa Bronson and Athelred Parker, but they appear to have had only one child, Timothy.
