• Notes

  Chamberlain of Chester. Chamberlain of the Household to Henry VII. Chamberlain of the Exchequer, 1485-95. Sheriff of Flintshire, 1461-93. He fought at the Battle of Blore Heath in 1459, and in the ensuing Parliament was attainted with other Yorkist magnates. He was pardoned following the accession of Edward IV, who knighted him in 1461. He was executed at Tower Hill for his support of Perkin Warbeck.
