  He was a founder of Milton, Massachusetts. His death is recorded in the diary of TWK ancestor the Rev. William Holmes (/Homes) of Chilmark, Massachusetts: "1717. I am informed that July 31 one Deacon Wadsworth of Milton, brother of Rev. Ben: Wadsworth Pastour of the Old Church in Boston went out that morning with a designe to rake together some hay, and that some time after he was found lying upon his back with the rake across his brest stone dead.
