Notes - Mentioned in Foxe's Book of Martyrs: "[P]ersecuted and driven out of the town of Mendlesham in the county of Suffolk: [...] Thomas Hubbard, and his wife".
He is not the Thomas Higbed who, elsewhere in Fox, is said to have been burned at the stake. The identification of Higbed as the father of James Hubbard and the grandfather of Samuel Hubbard, co-founder of the American Seventh Day Baptists, was refuted by Don A. Sanford in "A Genealogist's Dilemma," published in the Seventh Day Baptist Sabbath Recorder, April 1997.
- Mentioned in Foxe's Book of Martyrs: "[P]ersecuted and driven out of the town of Mendlesham in the county of Suffolk: [...] Thomas Hubbard, and his wife".
