  "This William was s. and h. of John, s. and h. of Humphrey Franc Chevaler, who in 1220 was alleged, by Ralph and Olimpia, to have held temp. Henry II 5 hides in Imber, Wilts, which were the right of Olimpia as Humphrey's heir (Idem, vol. ix, p. 341). In the time of Abbot Thomas Carbonel (1179-1205) Wymark, widow of John Franc Chevaler, gave lands to St. Peter's Abbey, Gloucester, for the souls of her husband and her s.
