Notes - Custodian of Sherborne Castle; Sheriff of Somerset and Dorset 1204-07; justiciar in 1208.
"After the accession of King John, he became a prominent official at Court. He joined the Barons against King John in 1215. His lands in Somerset and Dorset were forfeited and granted to Ralph de Raligh. He appears to have submitted in 1216 soon after the accession of King Henry III." [Royal Ancestry]
