Notes - His 16 Feb 1942 draft registration record gives, as "person who will always know your address," Frank Eaton, which suggests he was still married to Mary Evelyn Eaton at that time.
Also, the 27 April 1944 edition of the Tyrone (Pennsylvania) Daily Herald, in the "Social and Personal" column on page 3, notes that "Mr. and Mrs. John Raabe, Huntingdon, West Virginia, are visiting with Mr. Raabe's parents, Northwood. Mr. Raabe is the superintendent of a large nickle [sic] works in Huntingdon, West Virginia." Assuming the obituary below is correct on the year of John Diller Raabe's second marriage, that would place the end of his marriage to Mary Evelyn Eaton as between 27 Apr 1944 and the end of 1945.

John Diller Raabe, Warriors Mark, died unexpectedly Tuesday at 9 p.m. in the Tyrone Hospital.
He was born May 28, 1903 at Tyrone, son of Dietrick and Laura (Cox) Raabe and was married in Roanoke, Va., to Esther Mae Craddock in 1945.
He had been resident of the Warriors Mark area for the past 11 years,
He is survived by his wife and his mother, a guest of the Presbyterian Home, Hollidaysburg.
He was a member of the Warriors Mark Methodist Church.
He also was a member of the Warriors Mark Fire Company, the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company, a 32nd Degree Mason, Beni Kedem Temple, Charleston, W. Va., Huntingdon, W. Va., Blue Lodge 53, Huntingdon Lodge of Perfection and Huntingdon Chapter Knights Rose Croix.
He was retired as superintendent of the sheet mill department of International Nickel Company, in West Virginia.
Funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m, at the Cox Funeral Home, Warriors Mark, with the Revs. Daniel F. Koon and H. Paul Cox officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home after 2 p.m, today and until the time of service Friday.
