Notes - Sometimes shown as a Champernoun, daughter of Oliver Champernoun, in order to explain the devolution of Otterham to the Champernouns. But that would have made her daughter Joan first cousin to her husband William de Champernoun. And Joan's marriage is by itself sufficient explanation of the passage of the property from the one family to the other.
