  • Notes
    • The 1841 and 1861 censuses say she was born in St. Ives. The 1851 census says she was born in Southampton, Hampshire.

The idea she was the Amelia Phillips who was baptised 31 May 1801 at St. Peter & St. Paul, Fareham, Hampshire (about fifteen miles east-southeast of Southampton), daughter of John and Susanna Phillips, is buttressed by ancestry.com's "ThruLines" feature, which shows PNH sharing DNA with descendants of three other children of this John and Susanna Philips (Joseph Phillips, 1809-1848; Susanna Phillips, 1812-1870; and Richard Phillips, b. 1821).
