  • Notes
    • Also called Richelde of Mons, Richelde of Egesheim. Her parentage is unestablished, notwithstanding many claims that her father was Rainier V, Count of Mons. Ancestral Roots describes her as "niece or gr.-niece of Pope Leo IX (Bruno of Egesheim)". This appears to be unproven, although the redoubtable Peter Stewart (SGM, 17 Mar 2023) points out that three roughly-contemporary sources indicate that she was in some way closely related to that pope.
