      "In 1645 he deeded his Newbury and Hampton properties to John and Martha Sherman in consideration of daughter Martha's release of land in Great Ormesby, co. Norfolk, in which she had an interest of £105; hence likely he was the Wiliam of Ormesby St. Margaret cited there in Sept. 1636 for absence from Church, who appeared not and was excommunicated.
