Notes - She is frequently given as a granddaughter of early settler William Goodwin, but on the his Great Migration Begins entry on Goodwin, Robert Charles Anderson points out that Esther Crowe was born too early to have been a daughter of Goodwin's daughter Elizabeth; that Elizabeth Goodwin was almost certainly John Crowe's second wife.
