Notes - Sheriff of Worcestershire from sometime in the 1110s to 1130. This Walter de Beauchamp, whose origins are unknown, inherited his father-in-law Urse d'Abetot's hereditary shrievalty and most of his lands when Roger d'Abetot, Urse's son, forfeited his lands and offices upon being exiled by Henry I, allegedly for having ordered the murder of a royal official.
