  Also called Conrad Jung. Sources differ on whether he was born in Germany or in Maryland. He may have come from Germany with his parents. "Conrad Young … came to America from Germany about the year 1770, with his wife. Their children were all of American birth. Conrad Young bought 1000 acres of land in Locust Valley, and erected a saw mill, for which he prepared the timber himself. He also farmed the land that he had cleared."
