  Also called Jirí Simmet, Jirího Simmet. His daughter Rose's 1895 birth certificate (on which she is called Eufrosina Simmetová) calls him "rolník v Chalupech cp.7", a farmer in Chalupy cottage number 7. Chalupy is a village of, today, 12 cottages and about 16 residents within the town of Všeruby in the district of Domažlice in the far southwest of the modern Czech Republic.
