    • Ormerod and Renaud (citation details below), evidently mistakenly, call him "Adam de Norley." From "Townships: Pemberton" in VCH Lancaster (citation details below), volume 4, it seems more likely that Adam de Northlegh was this Thurstan's father.

      Other sources, apparently relying on a visitation, erroneously place this family in Norley, Cheshire.
