Notes - CP IV:118, footnote (c), regarding John Deincourt (d. bef 14 Oct 1257), father of Sir Edmund Deincourt: "This John had livery of his lands, 19 Sep. 1246, and was s. and h. of Oliver (who had livery in 1217, by Nichole, to whom Nichole (Ist da. and coh. of Richard de la Haye, and wife of Gerard de Caunville) gave Duddington in free marriage".
VCH Northamptonshire volume 2, page 561, says "On the death of Gerard de Camville about 1215, Duddington, according to an entry in the Pipe Roll, was granted to his widow during the king's pleasure; there is also a royal command that Lady Nichola should have seisin of Duddington, but it does not state her tenure. She granted the manor, about 1230, to Oliver Deyncourt, who had married Nichola, either her neice or grandchild."
In other words, while we don't know the parents of this Nichole, she may have been a grandchild of Gerard de Camville and Nichole de la Haye, and she was certainly descended from Richard de la Haye and Maud de Vernon -- as grandchild if she was Nichole's neice, and as great-grandchild if she was her grandchild.
