In the 1891 census of Canada she is listed at Notre Dame de Lac St Jean, Chicoutimi and Saguenay, Quebec, Canada, parents Jean Baptise and Virginie Bouchard.

The 1911 census has her living with her husband and six children in Saint-Prime, and gives the month as well as the year of her birth.

She entered the US from Canada with her husband Alfred on 18 Nov 1915, at Newport, Vermont; the record of that crossing gives her age as 31 and her birthplace as Roberval.

Massachusetts, U.S., Death Index, 1901-1980 contains an index listing for a Mary Louise Bergeron, birth surname Bouchard, who died in Ashburnham, Massachusetts in 1954. But the 1953 city directory of St. Albans, Vermont has "Bergeron Mary L wid Alfred" living there.
