Desperately seeking Santa
Posted by Teresa at 01:09 PM * 4 comments

I’ve got someone who’s trying to track down one or more organizers of the annual “Bad Santa” event, sometimes known as Santacon. Can anyone here help me? No public confessions required; just drop me a note with “Bad Santa” in the subject line. Thanks.

I get to use those umpty-thousand bookmarks I've been schelpping all this time!
I'm pretty sure this is a Cacophany society thing, or offshoot.

I don't see an address to email you at, so I'll just post the cluez here. Santacon is an operation of the Cacophony Society, a loose organization of artists, misfits and former eagle scouts, banded together for experiences beyond the norm. And you may already be a member!

Depending on what you want to know about Santacon, start here: www.cacophony.org. Santacon started in SF and branched out to other cities around the globe. The major Cacophony "lodges" all have their own individual web sites & contact email lists which you can find from the main cacophony.org site.

Personally, this Santa has been part of a santacon nearly every year since 1996.

Santa honey, maybe this isn't the best week for that particular slogan.
