It’s been pointed out to me that the comment pop-ups don’t work on my monthly archive pages. I honestly don’t know if this is a new glitch, or if it was true all along.

Anyway, I’ll look into it. Meanwhile, you can read the comments (and even add more) by clicking on the timestamp for any post, on the front page or on the monthly archives. That takes you to an individual post archive page, complete with comments and a comment entry form. [06:30 PM]

It's been going on a for a while. I went to look up something I'd said in comments several weeks ago and it wasn't working then. I didn't mention it because I guess I just figured it was the way things worked. I may have checked Teresa's and not gotten the comments there as well. For confirmation you know. I know I think I did that, but, well, it is a middle-aged memory after all.

I just read this in preview and I wish you good luck at figuring out what I'm saying. I had left out 3 words that I caught and the whole thing is distinctly incoherent, but right now, I'm not capable of better.

I think this is fairly typical of Movable Type installations; the comments box appears on my individual archives, but not on the monthly or category archives.

I suppose I could copy the comments code from the individual-archive template to the others, but I get fairly few comments - I average 1.4 comments per entry - so it may not be worth the effort.

FWIW, I was able to look up some past comments in a monthly archive here three or fours weeks ago.
