Her death certificate gives her birthplace as "Freemore, Ont.," which doesn't exist. Our belief is that she was actually born in Creemore, Ontario, which is in Simcoe County.

Ackley) was born on 26 Jul 1869 in Convis, Calhoun, Michigan; died on 11 Dec 1934 in Battle Creek, Calhoun, Michigan; was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Battle Creek, Calhoun, Michigan. Her daughter Katherine's death certificate spells her name "Katherine Gelisbie."

An obituary from an unspecified newspaper is reproduced on the Find a Grave page for her daughter Katherine, which says her mother survives her but calls her mother "Mrs. A. B. Borden". This can only mean that Catherine Gillespie/Gelisbie married a man by that name subsequent to her marriage to Duncan Frazier/Fraser. That Duncan Fraser was the father of Katherine is stated on multiple official documents.
