    "Roger of Lauria was an Italian admiral in Aragonese service, who was the commander of the fleet of the Crown of Aragon during the War of the Sicilian Vespers.     His father was not Richardo de Lauria, justiciar of Naples; this has been shown by Peter Stewart to have been an invention. His mother was, however, named Bella d'Amico or de Amichi.
