Excommunicated by Pope Innocent VI, 1357, for refusing to appear when summoned to answer for a sentence he had delivered against the Bishop of Ely. In 1364, he granted his manor of Alurynton, Shropshire to the Augustinian priory in Osney. In 1369 he withdrew to the Franciscan house at Oxford where he died."
