1. Mary Lee was born about 1632 (daughter of Robert Lee and Mary); died after 6 May 1693. Mary married John Howland on 26 Oct 1651 in Plymouth, Plymouth Colony. John (son of John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley) was born on 24 Apr 1627; died after 18 May 1699 in Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
Children:- Lydia Howland was born on 9 Jan 1665 in Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts; died on 6 Jul 1717 in Middleborough, Plymouth, Massachusetts; was buried in Cemetery at the Green, Middleborough, Plymouth, Massachusetts.
2. Robert Lee died after 1653. Notes:
He was in Plymouth in 1636, and admitted freeman 3 Jan 1637.
He and/or his wife would appear to have been related in some way either to John Atwood (1576-1644), assistant governor of the Plymouth colony in 1638, or to Atwood's wife Anne (d. 1654). Atwood's will, dated 20 Oct 1643, refers to his "Brother and sister Lee & their two children Ann and Mary," whom he leaves "to the will of my wife to deal with them as shall seem good to her." The will of Mrs. Ann Atwood, 27 Apr 1650, says: "Imprimis, whereas I have a brother and sister now liveing in New Plym: aforesaid namely Robert and Mary Lee, unto whome both myself and my deceased husband have formerly shewed what healp and kindness wee could", etc.Robert married Mary.
