She may have been a sister of John Ferrar of Magdalen College, Oxford, b. 1566, vicar of Washington, Sussex in 1581; and/or of Jeremy Ferrar of New College, Oxford, b. 1558.

After the death of her husband, she ran the bookshop until her own death.

Anne married Richard Garbrand alias Harkes about 1578. Richard (son of Garbrand Harkes and Elizabeth) was born about 1550 in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England; died before 13 Jan 1602 in Oxford, Oxfordshire, England; was buried on 13 Jan 1602 in St. Mary the Virgin, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.
