The Nickerson Family volume 4 (citation details below) says that his wife was "Elizabeth Dobbin, born Nova Scotia, called Betsey, of Port la Tour, probably daughter of William and _____ (_____) Dobbin", citing (among other sources) the History of Barrington Township (citation details below), p. 533. But all that page 533 says is that Knowles Nickerson, son of John Nickerson who "m. Dorothy James of Ireland", married a woman named Elizabeth. Whereas page 586 of the same work clearly says that Elizabeth Swain, daughter of Daniel Swain and Ann Taylor, married Knowles Nickerson.

She died of dropsy. The Nickerson Family (citation details below) gives her death as 1867 in Clark's Harbour, Nova Scotia, daughter of Edward Burke and Nora James, but the same book also notes that Shelburne County vital records have her dying 5 Oct 1870, daughter of Thomas Burke and Nora James.

The marriage is known to have taken place on a May 6th, probably in 1786.

"The evidences that Jerusha and Nathaniel were brother and sister are family statements of the descendants taken down around the year 1880 by the late Professor Arnold Doane of Barrington. The chief grounds for making them children of Enos Knowles are that Enos had a son not otherwise accounted for, that Jerusha and Nathaniel could not possibly have been children of Enos's brother Samuel or cousin Cornelius, that Nathaniel named a son Enos -- a name almost unused either in Eastham or Barrington, and that the name Jerusha prevailed among the proved descendants of Enos."
