The 1902 "Additions and Corrections" to Charles Henry Pope's The Pioneers of Massachusetts says that Thomas Browne's "[d]au. Mary m. first William Woodhead, of Chelmsford, whose conduct made it necessary for Mr. Browne to write two letters to the governor in Dec. 1670".William married Mary Browne on 21 Jun 1669.
