    • He first appears in New England in Watertown in 1642. According to Edson Salisbury Jones, writing in 1914 (citation details below), he died there on a date unknown. But according to John Brooks Threlfall (citation details below), writing more recently, he probably returned to England not long after 13 Jun 1655, in aid of his second wife who had returned there in advance of him, and he was probably the "Old George Parkhurst" who was buried 18 Jun 1675 at St. Lawrence, Ipswich, Suffolk.
