    • She was a fille à marier, one of the "marriageable ones" who were sent to New France at government expense and expected to marry there. This program preceded the more celebrated filles du roi, which improved its transportees' prospects by providing each of them with a dowry.

      For the murder of their son-in-law Julian Latouche, she and her husband Jacques Bertault were the first couple executed together in Quebec. Details of this can be found at the entry for her husband.
