  Member of the Massachusetts Governor's Council, 1818-19. Overseer of Harvard College, 1824-52. Judge of probate, 1821-56. Ancestors of American Presidents (citation details below) has him dying in Concord, but his tombstone (viewable on his Find a Grave page, citation details below) says he died in Cambridge. So does a newspaper obituary shown on the same Find a Grave page; unfortunately, no information is given as to what newspaper the obituary came from.
