  • Notes
    • See our entry for John Bent (1689-1759), son of Hannah Stone's husband John Bent, for why we believe that Alicia Crane Williams (citation details below) is mistaken in thinking that Hannah Stone may have lived as late as 1691. We think she died much sooner after 9 Jun 1683, her last appearance in a surviving record, probably in the mid-1680s, and that John Bent's two sons John and David are clearly sons by his second wife Martha Rice.
