Notes - He was the guardian to the children of the original settler Robert Cole, after he died on a business trip back to England.
He is said to have been an ancestor of Francis Scott Key and F. Scott Fitzgerald, although by a wife other than Elizabeth Hatton. We haven't looked into this.
