    • "Jean Le Maistre had a distinguished career as the advocate general of the Parlement de Paris starting on 29 July 1482 under Charles VIII when he replaced Franc?ois Halle?. An advocate general was responsible for representing the interest of the king and his kingdom; he would be similar to a modern-day attorney general.
