  His marriage record says thatg he was a cheesemaker of St-Edouard, which is a subdistrict of Lotbinière. Trees on familysearch.org claim that he was born and/or baptized 17 Feb 1863 at St-Roch-des-Aulnaies, Quebec, but the actual baptismal record linked from those claims appears to be for a Raymond Lord, and we're not sure that even the well-known indeterminacy of given names in pre-20th-century Québec quite encompasses an Edmund actually being a Raymond. However, the record of Edmond Lord's marriage to Marie Laure Parent makes it quite clear that Edmond/Edmund Lord was a son of Ignace Lord and Marie Anathalie Blanchet, very probably born after 1862 and thus not listed in the PRDH's list of that couple's children.
