  • Notes
    • The record of his marriage to Mary Hay calls him "a Scotishman" and her "an Irish maid". He was a brewer. He is recorded as a founding member of the Scot Charitable Society of Boston on 6 Jan 1657. Evidence exists to suggest, but not wholly prove, that he was one of the Scottish soldiers captuired at the Battle of Dunbar and transported on the Unity in December 1650.
